• Thomas Bewick This site provides you with everything you wanted to know about the purported father of wood engraving and then some 

• An exhibit of Kent Kessinger's work at North Texas university. This page has a history of wood engraving and a listing of many engravers from the 18th century till the present.

• How a Wood Engraving is Made by Andy English: A fairly concise description of the wood engraving process. Check out the links on the bottom of his page to view his work.
